Fall weather is almost here! And today, I’m so excited to share a new favorite small shop with all of you—Scooter Booties!
As Will continues to perfect his walking, that means I can’t keep socks on his feet in the house since they slide around on the hardwood floors. So, I needed to find a better way of keeping his little feet warm as he plays. These soft-soled booties are perfect. They are cozy and soft like socks, but with a great rubber sole on the bottom. In fact, he wears them almost ever day, at least some portion of the day, that is.
Of course, there are tons of designs to choose from, some with gripper soles and others without. I think these buffalo checks are perfect for fall and winter, though I was very tempted by all the other adorable options.
Seriously, the comic book booties? The strawberries? The arrows, baseballs, whales, dinos, chickens, cats, sharks, feathers, birds, balloons, robots, flowers, maps, alphabets, even sushi….she has everything you’d ever want! Even things you didn’t know you wanted but now can’t live without. Even pumpkins for fall!
In all seriousness, though, I think I’d choose the basic black or navy ones with the rubber toe and subtle pattern detail around the ankle if I could only choose one, because they would match everything. But if I could choose two, I’d also grab the honeybees. Honeybees are a favorite symbol in our house, and I can’t pass them up! But she also has pineapples you guys! Ah–so many to choose from–so many on my wish list!
Brittany Chapman, owner of Scooter Booties, has been sewing since she was 8 years old, but she started her business five years ago out of a love for lovely fabric. Although she runs her business all by herself, which includes everything from shipping to accounting, she says she’s almost always at her sewing machine, making shoes to sell, or creating quilts and other baby clothes for friends. Her passion is putting smiles on faces and warming up little toes.
And, now, she’s on a journey to becoming a mother through adoption!
Will is 14 months old but wearing the 6-12 month size. He’s got short but chubby feet. There is a sizing chart in the listing to help ensure you get the perfect fit. I’d say these are best when they are snug, but not tight, so babies can’t pull them off. But the elastic at the ankle really helps a lot with that.
And, because we want you to grab some of these adorable little booties for yourself, your friends, and your loved ones, we have an exclusive discount code, provided by the amazing Brittany, just for Motherhood Inspired readers. Use code 20PERCENTOFF for 20% off your entire order, no minimum purchase.
Woohoo! Happy shopping and thanks for supporting these small shops who offer wonderful things for families to enjoy!
